SINCE 1958
Our History
More than six decades of building quality work and standing behind it.
|
1958 Founded |
A Straightforward GoalGerber Construction was founded in 1958 by Russell E. Gerber with a straightforward goal: build quality work and stand behind it. From its base in Reed City, Michigan, the company grew through consistency — delivering projects reliably, building strong relationships, and earning repeat business across the region. |
|
Gen 2 Growth |
Expanding CapabilitiesUnder the leadership of [SECOND GENERATION NAME] Gerber, the company expanded its capabilities and adapted to an industry that was becoming more complex, more competitive, and more demanding. |
|
2014 New Chapter |
Third Generation LeadershipIn 2014, ownership transitioned to Jill and Bill Terryn, marking the beginning of Gerber's next chapter. Under their leadership, the company has evolved into a multi-division operation with expanded capabilities in concrete, underground utilities, and trucking — giving Gerber greater control over how projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered. |
|
[ADD YEAR] Acquisition |
Quality Concrete Joins GerberGerber acquired Quality Concrete, bringing dedicated concrete expertise and specialized equipment — including 3D laser screed technology — under the Gerber roof. The addition gave Gerber full self-performance capability on one of the most critical scopes in commercial and industrial construction. |
|
[ADD YEAR] Acquisition |
Nate Green Trucking Joins the FamilyNate Green Trucking joined the Gerber family, adding a dedicated hauling division to support job sites and serve external clients across Michigan. What started as two trucks has grown to a fleet of 15 — an integrated part of how Gerber delivers projects from start to finish. |
